Lorraine was born in New Jersey and studied at The National Academy School of Design, The School of Visual Arts, and Parson’s School of Design in NYC from 1970-1973. In 1976 she graduated cum laude from Montclair State University in Upper Montclair, New Jersey with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree and certification to teach art. She moved to the Maine coast with her family in 1986.
